Elvis loved his first 1971 Stutz and drove it often until it was badly damaged in an accident July 1971 while an employee was taking it to the carwash. Elvis kept the damaged car in storage but never got it fixed. After his death, the Graceland Estate had it restored in 1981 for display, where it remains today.
