When your favorite fiction authors write about cars, do they get the details correct? (Part 1)

Unlike the 1984 movie, the 1958 Plymouth Fury in Stephen King’s book “Christine” was actually described as a four-door in almost every reference. The author did not distinguish whether it was a sedan with pillars between the doors, or whether it was a hardtop sedan model with no door posts (shown above). We’ll assume it was a hardtop model, simply because they look so much better.
